Congratulations to the Queen's Class of 2024 on their remarkable achievement! As they embark on the next chapter of their journey, the Queen's Student Alumni Association (QSAA) invites new grads, alumni, families and friends, to a special Summerhill Sendoff to commemorate their journey from student to alumni. 

At this exclusive event new grads can connect with fellow classmates, and alumni can reminisce about their time at Queen's while welcoming the class of 2024 into the alumni community. This reception will be happening outside of Summerhill, the oldest building at Queen's. There will be refreshments, live music, and Summerhill will be decorated in tricolour for the occasion.

Summerhill Sendoff will happen from both Wednesday, June 19 and Thursday, June 20 from 11 am - 2 pm. This event is open and all are welcome to attend. While registration is encouraged, it is not required to attend. 

Here's what to expect:

  • Networking opportunities: Forge new connections and expand your professional network with fellow graduates and alumni.
  • Career Support: Learn about career development resources, job opportunities, and mentorship programs tailored to you to help you thrive in your chosen field. 
  • Degree Frames: Commemorate your achievement with a stunning diploma frame available for purchase during the event. Choose from a variety of styles to display your degree proudly. Pre-order your frame to have it as soon as you graduate. 
  • Refreshments: Enjoy refreshments and snacks as you mingle and celebrate your accomplishments.

Accessibility information

This event will take place outdoors. The building has cobblestone sidewalks. In the event of inclement weather the event will be cancelled. 

Summerhill will be open for guest to use the restrooms, however these restrooms are not accessible. The nearest accessible washroom is located on Level 1 of Kathleen Ryan Hall.

Parking information

Permit parking is available at 5th Field Company Lane and parking lots behind Kingston Hall and Kathleen Ryan Hall.

One accessible meter parking space is located on Stuart Street at George Street and three spaces are on Stuart Street opposite the Nixon Field underground parking garage entrance.
